Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes

This bronze statue is one of several tributes to Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes that can be found in Madrid. It is located just in front of the hermitage of San Antonio de la Florida. The fame of the church is due to the amount of frescoes by the artist that adorn its ceilings. In addition to his paintings, we can find his tomb under the presbytery, since in 1919 he moved to the temple.
